This research institute was established in 1994 and is the earliest vaccine and adjuvant technology research institute in Taiwan. The establishment of our institute is in line with the current importance of animal disease prevention and control. "Vaccine immunization" is the best strategy to prevent and control animal diseases. In order to curb the abuse of antibiotics, the demand for biological agents will inevitably increase significantly. Taiwan has listed vaccine adjuvants as a key industry and encourages industrial investment, factory establishment and industrial upgrading. Therefore, in order to meet government policies and industry needs, in 1992, the Ministry of Education received a subsidy from the Ministry of Education to establish the "Animal Vaccine and Adjuvant Technology Research and Development Center". The "Animal Vaccine Technology Research Institute" was established on August 1, 1994. It is the only animal vaccine-related research institute among colleges and universities in the country. In the Republic of China, the "Animal Vaccine Pilot Factory" was established in 1995 to build and cultivate cross-field and creative talents. and excellent facilities for key technical personnel to implement the concept of technical and vocational higher education. The Institute of Animal Vaccine Technology is the only unique teaching institution among colleges and universities in the country. It has a leading animal vaccine factory, and the school has an animal vaccine and adjuvant technology research and development center that has been established for 10 years. It is committed to the key technologies of Taiwan's animal vaccine and adjuvant industry. Development, our school has obtained multiple patents and technology transfer for animal vaccine adjuvants, improved animal preparation industry technology, and formed an industry-university alliance with the Animal Vaccine Industry Cluster in Pingtung Agricultural Park. At the same time, it has attracted the international animal vaccine manufacturer Roman Company to settle in Pingtung. The East Agricultural Park has become an important animal vaccine industry cluster. Animal vaccines are the best tool to prevent and treat animal diseases. The production of animal vaccine adjuvants is an important domestic agricultural and health biotechnology industry. The additional industrial value of the animal vaccine industry is an important part of the production technology of livestock, poultry, and aquatic animals, and It has important social value in maintaining the health and stability of humans and animals. Based on the school and college development goals and professional development trends, the institute invites experts from industry, government, and academia to evaluate its own development conditions and formulate the institute's characteristics and development plans. In order to meet the needs of the industry, we will develop new technologies for animal vaccines and adjuvants, cultivate outstanding research professionals, and implement the concept of technical and vocational higher education. There are currently 30 master's degree students from colleges and universities across the country, 3 foreign students, 6 full-time teachers, plus 5 joint teachers from the Department of Veterinary Medicine, the Institute of Biotechnology and the Department of Thermo-Agriculture, and a number of industrial teachers. The school is famous for collaborative teaching and has a strong teaching staff. Our institute is located on the 2nd floor of the Second Veterinary Building. It has independent teaching and research spaces, and is located in the "Animal Vaccine Pilot Factory" in the Veterinary Building. The course content connects theory and practice, combines academic courses, internship courses and industrial research to cultivate tools. Talents with cross-field, creativity and key technologies can achieve the goal of seamless integration with the industry.
